Himley Hall, once the home of the Earls of Dudley, later belonged to the Coal Board
And on to the boat park,quiet today, but a hive of activity on Tuesday
You may have seen in the local media that HRH Princess Anne visited Himley Hall Sailing Club on Tuesday. I thought you might like to know a little more. The visit was to celebrate the opening of the new landing area - our decking - which was built entirely by club volunteers.
It was also celebrating the school sailing done by Ellowes pupils in conjunction with the club
Cadets from Ellowes Hall Sports College helped organise the site on the day
The helicopter arrived. HRH later commented on how clear the lake was, and how much weed she could see from above

And before we knew, the visit was over.
But the Black Country has both a park and a sailing club to be proud of.
